Our best Outriders Trickster build guide will walk you through two top-tier Trickster builds: one for solo play and one for dedicated endgame & co-op play. Both offer rather different playstyles but each will make you into a nigh-unstoppable force of nature. On this page:

Best Outriders Trickster solo build
This shotgun damage build is absolutely the best Trickster solo build we’ve found in Outriders. Closely based on YouTuber Moxsy’s build showcased in the above video, this build has you delivering constant critical hits for mind-numbing amounts of damage, no matter your World Tier or Challenge Tier. For this build you’ll be using Hunt The Prey, Venator’s Knife, and Twisted Rounds. The latter two are necessary for reaching godlike levels of damage with each shot, while Hunt The Prey is required to keep you mobile, taking you in and out of danger and giving you some very important buffs along the way.
Trickster solo build: Skill Tree
This build leans heavily into the Assassin branch of the Trickster’s skill tree, helping you to deliver maximum damage at close range with shotguns. Take a look at the diagram below to see where you should invest your class points: Outriders story missions & side quests list | Outriders Auto Loot | How to interrupt in Outriders | Outriders “No HUD” bug fix
Trickster solo build: equipment & mods
There are three pieces of gear I consider absolutely vital to this solo Trickster build:
Enoch’s Blessing, Legendary Pump Action Shotgun (Gravedigger’s Fury: Critical shots increase your Critical Damage by 50% for 5s, 10s cooldown) The High Roller, Legendary Pump Action Shotgun (Embalmer’s Rage: For 5s after a killing shot all following shots will be critical shots, 4s cooldown) Ugake Otarah’s Cowl, Legendary Headgear (Instant Reload: Hunt The Prey - teleporting instantly replenishes magazine in your current weapon)
After that I would pump about half of my other mod slots for my weapons and armour with extreme damage increasing mods such as Killing Spree, Sharp Eye, and so on; and the other half with survivability mods such as Mitigation From Death and Emergency Stance. This is a fantastic build for solo players even through endgame, but because it relies so much on killing shots, you need to be able to get those one-shot kills. For this reason, it’s not the best for co-op, because the difficulty scaling means you won’t be able to get the one-shot kills anymore. If you want a strong multiplayer build, take a look at the next section of this guide.
Best Outriders Trickster endgame build
For a more well-rounded endgame Trickster build, we’ve concocted the following setup, based around YouTuber NorZZa’s build featured in the above video. This build revolves around the use of Assault weaponry (ARs, SMGs, LMGs, Double Guns) rather than Shotguns, and makes use of similar skills and mods but a wildly different path down the Trickster skill tree than the previous build. The three skills you’ll need for this build are Twisted Rounds, Venator’s Knife, and Borrowed Time. Again Twisted Rounds and Venator’s Knife are for pure damage boosts, while Borrowed Time makes you far tankier, allowing you to get up close and personal without fear of reprisal from powerful enemies.
Trickster endgame build: Skill Tree
This Trickster build foregoes the damage-boosting Assassin path in favour of the Reaver path, which drastically boosts the benefits of your three abilities. This path still keeps your damage startlingly high thanks to your near-constant use of Twisted Rounds and Venator’s Knife. The diagram below shows which nodes you need to pick for this endgame build:
Trickster endgame build: equipment & mods
Here are the very best pieces of equipment and mods to use with this endgame Trickster build:
Amber Vault, Legendary Double Gun (Killing Spree: Killing shots increase damage by 30% for this weapon for 30 seconds. Bonus deteriorates with time and stacks up to 5 kills.) Anomaly’s Visage, Legendary Headgear (Anomaly Echo: Grants firepower and anomaly power bonus on skill activation for a short time.) Lower Chronosuit, Legendary Lower Armour (Ammo Bargain: Twisted Rounds - While the skill is active, killing shots replenish 20% of ammo in your magazine.)
It is also extremely viable to don the entire Chronosuit armour set and gain the set bonus of replenishing your ammo when reverting time with Borrowed Time. But it’s not entirely necessary, and I love using Anomaly’s Visage for the added damage potential. Besides this, some very potent mods for your other slots include Blue Blood for the added weapon leech, Captain Hunter to help you deal with elites, and Additional Mag, which acts as insurance in case you do end up with no ammo in your magazine.
