And yet, even if this is more business fanfic, I want to say thank you to that fanfic writer. The idea of improving media coverage of the company by buying the media is inspired. I mean, many squillionaires have demonstrably improved their media coverage by buying parts of the media....

The DLC is off to a planet named Gehenna (so far, so western) to fight a gang of bandits named The Devil Riders (yup) who ride dinosaurs (oh!). While the last two DLCs have brought back old Borderlands characters, this is meant to bring a new cast of characters. Including that mysterious narrator who chimes with thoughts on places and people. Bastion didn’t invent narrators, of course, but it did have the best-voiced one....

The game’s Twitter announced: “The Vanguard open beta has been extended until Wednesday Sept 22 at 10am PT.” That’s 6pm for us, UKmaniacs. The beta packs four maps and a variety of deathmatch and objective modes, including the new Patrol mode. Hitting level 20 in the beta will get you a ‘Rat-a-Tat’ weapon blueprint in Vanguard and Warzone, too. Fox also took the anniversary as an opportunity to provide an update on second chapter of Deltarune, the next part of his quirky, twisty RPG series. It’s kinda strange to think that Undertale has been out for five years already. It’s even stranger to think that the first chapter of Deltarune has been out for two, but now Fox has posted an update on what’s been happening with Chapter 2’s development....

Thankfully, Razer’s new Eracing Simulator Concept chair setup is a little less terrifying on that front, mostly because it looks like you’re free to leave at any given moment, but its wrap-around projection screen and hydraulic racing seat setup are no less impressive. The cinematic pixel art platformer has been quiet almost ever since, but rumours began circling this week that it would resurface at the Game Awards later this month. Not so, says Soret. “It will be shown next year, not before,” he told PC Gamer. Soret’s tweets from 2014 began being shared within hours of The Last Night’s appearance at the Microsoft E3 conference in 2017. Soret apologised, and publisher Raw Fury stood by him while criticising the tweets....

Folks were given a starting point for some new Call Of Duty teasers that took them through some secret codes and uncovered video feeds. They’ve now found that the end of the trail leads to a trailer. Spot it here with some reveals about season one content for both Warzone and Cold War. For starters, it appears that the Rebirth Island map for Warzone is in the bag. Apparently that’s where a fella named Vikhor “Stitch” Kuzmin was developing a chemical weapon named Nova 6....

If it was up to us, we’d keep Matthew and Sin locked inside the RPS treehouse forever, but these departures are happening due to company restructuring brought about by Covid-19. It’s completely understandable and completely unfair at the same time. We’re all heartbroken. Get the 2TB Crucial MX500 SATA SSD for £140 (was £175) That’s a best-ever price for a drive that performs consistently well in testing, thanks to TLC NAND - a more expensive form of flash memory that tends to be left out of cheaper high capacity SSDs like the Samsung 860 Qvo. QLC drives can still perform well, but they do suffer from worse sustained random write performance and slightly poorer longevity, so the MX500 can be a worthwhile upgrade - especially if you’re planning to use the drive to install your operating system....

It’s out now on Steam and there’s a sensorally aggressive trailer below. Do I want to play this? Not really, but it’s certainly committing to the bit. Even the developer’s name, Consumer Softproducts, and logo, are part of the act. Although I’m drawing comparisons to trashier fare from the ’90s, it’s apparently also pulling inspiration from early Rainbow Six games. Each mission has “multiple viable approaches”, you’ll be able to select equipment before entering the fray, and your arsenal of weapons are mostly real-ish guns....

The 1.1 patch notes are pretty dang lengthy, addressing all sorts of odd edge cases that may have thrown off your crusading kingdoms. The patch actually addresses a couple issues that I found particularly humorous in early CK3 player stories like spymasters plotting to murder themselves. According to the patch notes, “spymasters will no longer try to dig up dirt on themselves”. I sure hope that includes attempted self-murders. Another player was having a lot of trouble maintaining their family line while their wives and daughters were constantly being seduced....

“Along with fixes and improvements, we have been working on adding more depth to the game. Based on your feedback, this major content update will focus on combat and dungeon gameplay,” says the latest development update from Massive Monster. To that end, you’ll be able to press and hold the attack button for each weapon in order to perform a new “heavy attack”. The update offers a glimpse of three such heavy attacks: for the sword, a smash that knocks back multiple enemies; for the axe, a boomerang throw; for the dagger, the ability to rain knives from the sky....

Cutting to the chase, Night City Wire kicked off with a new trailer pieced together from Cyberpunk’s prologue. A heist is planned, a quiet job goes loud, cyborg gangers get gunned down and Keanu Reeves says a bad word. Briefly, we see a little more of The Mox, Cyberpunk’s sex worker defence force, alongside the Mad Max-lookin’ Badlands outside the city and a massive cyborg fascist named Adam Smasher. It’s all very blink-and-you’ll-miss-it, but fortunately, that trailer wasn’t the only gameplay on show today....

Holmes, America’s first serial killer,” Bandai Namco explain. “They soon discover that they’re being watched, and there is much more at stake.” The ‘Murder Castle’ was a real place, in Chicago in the late 19th century. Supposedly named the World’s Fair Hotel (because of its proximity to the 1893 World’s Fair), it was rigged for Holmes to freely torture, murder, and dispose of victims, with airtight and soundproofed rooms, torture chambers, secret passages, chutes to the basement, and other awfulness....

This version of the deck list guide is updated for the Darkmoon Faire meta. We’ll keep an eye on Deathrattle Hunter to see if it makes any big changes in the meta, but for now it’s a fairly similar deck to what we’ve seen before. UPDATE - DECEMBER 2020 Deathrattle Hunter is still a decent mid-tier deck list, but updated for the 2020 metagame we’ve just slotted a new list in here....

I got to see Shadow Gambit in action late last week, and boy howdy it looks super cool. Even better, it’s coming to Steam and the Epic Games Store later this year. I had assumed it would be easy to find an official version of the box artwork without any logos or owt. Press sites didn’t have it but surely publishers Eidos would have released that iconic image as a desktop wallpaper! I trawled through preserved archives of the game’s website, and Eidos’s website, and several international Eidos FTP servers (all taken down years ago), but if they had made it a wallpaper, I couldn’t find it....
