Shortly after, Devotion was pulled from Steam thanks to a small reference, a poster on a wall in-game, mentioning Chinese president Xi Jinping and cartoon character Winnie The Pooh. The comparison is a sore spot for the Chinese government, who censored mention of Pooh bear in 2017 when likening the two became something of a meme....

Evil West was announced at 2020’s The Game Awards, and strikes me as having a Shadows Of The Damned vibe. Seemingly, vampires have infested the Wild West despite it being a place renowned for its glaring sunshine and not having many castles to hide in. It falls on feisty Stetson-wearing gunlad Jesse Rentier and his paw’s “undercover monster-hunting organisation” to save the saloons of the Old West from having their patrons drunk dry....

As part of a Q&A on Reddit to celebrate Skyrim’s 10th anniversary, Howard was asked many questions that, of course, had nothing to do with Skyrim. One user asked if there was anything planned for a cut underwater vault in Fallout 4. Howard revealed that it would’ve been a “BioShock style vault” with “a massive sentient octopus living outside it.” That would’ve been amazing to explore! Wandering around in creaky, leaky, metal tunnels and fending off an overgrown squid sounds like my kinda party....
Adobe are retiring support for their Flash Player by the end of this year and Facebook are following suit by ending support for Flash games on their platform. Zynga say that FarmVille will of course be directly impacted. They’ll be shutting down the farming browser game on December 31st, 2020. “We’re aware that many of you have been with us since the very beginning, helping to build an incredible global community of players over the years who’ve enjoyed this game just as much as we have,” Zynga say....
When prodded over whether this other playable character would work in a similar way to Final Fantasy 12’s Reks, Maehiro said that was “a good understanding”. Reks was FF12 protagonist Vaan’s older brother, who you played as during the game’s prologue. Producer Naoki Yoshida also clarified in the interview that, despite what trailers have shown so far, Clive will have a posse of sorts. This party will fight alongside Clive, but they’ll be controlled by AI, much like Noctis’ boy band pals were in Final Fantasy 15....

If you’ve yet to download said update, Epic Games have given a little warning that it’s a bit larger than usual. While the patch is around 27GB to download, it ultimately means future updates will be a bit smaller, and loading times should be better as well. And, of course, the big news here - the game’s overall install size is now only around 27GB itself. Fortnite isn’t the first in recent weeks to start shrinking its install, either....
