Posting on Reddit and the Command & Conquer site this week, producer Jim Vessella laid out plans for Remaster’s modded future. There’ll be a nice new map editor, sure, but Vessella also revealed that both TiberianDawn.dll and RedAlert.dll (and the source code for their respective games) will be fully accessible to budding modders on release. “It’s worth noting this initiative is the direct result of a collaboration between some of the community council members and our teams at EA,” said Vessella....

As reported by UploadVR, Quest owners who are signing up to Facebook for the very first time are finding issues with the site’s account verification system. That system may ask for proof of photographic ID, requiring folks to send off documents and wait a couple of weeks for a Facebook employee to manually verify their identity. That’s no guarantee Facebook wont just suspend your account outright, mind. One Redditor explained that they were banned “within 10 minutes” of creating a new Facebook account and merging it with their 4-year-old Oculus account....

Lead community developer Matt Shotcha broke the news over on the game’s forums, admitting that Friday The 13th’s servers will go blank sometime later this month. The death of the servers won’t be the end of the game, however. In the post, Shotcha explains that the game will “revert back to peer to peer matchmaking” for quick-play. Private matches will also remain available, and database servers will remain online for the time being, protecting any progression and unlocks earned....
Armored Core director (and Sekiro lead designer) Masaru Yamamura welcomed Sekiro comparisons, while FromSoftware president Hidetaka Miyazaki was keen to stress they’re treating it as an Armored Core game rather than a Soulsborne game. As an example, they say that the code “9JM6616D211B9FEA” is not a valid GOG store code as theirs are either 18 or 20 characters long. That there fake is 16, to save you the count.
