Just when I think I’ve got a handle on ferrying each city’s busy commuters between their homes and giant industrial centres, something inevitably goes wrong. Granted, this isn’t shocking news to Ndemic. Since Plague Inc: Evolved’s Steam launch in 2016 (and the mobile original’s debut in 2012), the team regularly see player counts rise around big outbreak moments. But for whatever reason, the coronavirus outbreak has spurred infectious demand for Ndemic’s puke ’em up. According to Steam Charts (via the BBC), Plague Inc: Evolved’s peak player now sits 12,148 today - with little sign of slowing....
The Japanese announcement said April 22nd on consoles and April 24 on Steam, but Squeenix’s American announcement says simply April 23rd for everything. On PC, Nier Replicant Ver.1.22474487139… is coming via Steam, priced at £50/€60/$60. It’s not clear exactly how much is changed, but I’m not really fussed, considering that not only was Replicant originally not on PC, it never got an official release outside Japan. The game known as “Nier” here is Nier: Gestalt, which is basically the same game, except Gestalt stars a dad instead of a brother....
343 posted the reminder inside a massive blog post for all things John Chief post last week. The good news? Halo 4 is getting a closed beta very, very soon - and like Halo 3 before it, 343 plan to invite every eligible Xbox Insider into the party. That “flight” should also begin testing for a number of other features, including crossplay between PC and Xbox spacefolks. After that, though, there’ll be no more major releases planned for The Master Chief Collection on either platform, with 343 noting they’re “sorry to crush your Halo 5 in MCC dreams”....
