Doom Eternal Has A Secret Pistol Hidden In Its Files

Dave Oshry, founder of New Blood Interactive posted a video on Twitter showing off the cut weapon. He even left a follow up with details on the console commands if you want to give it a try for yourself (note that you will need to use Cheat Engine on PC to be able to do it). I reckon that pistol could’ve been pretty useful had it ended up in the game properly....

Dota Underlords Gets A Full Launch Release Date

The developers are keeping pretty quiet on the details until the full game launches, but we do know that some of that new content includes something called City Crawl. Again, we don’t actually know what that means yet, but Matt reckons it might look something like Dota 2’s Cavern Crawl, which is essentially a bunch of battle pass challenges to unlock different cosmetics. I suppose it’s time to talk about that little cute thing above - his name is Enno, the Scavenger King, and he’s the latest Underlord to make his way to the game....

Dragon Age 4 S Magic Archer Concept Art Looks Well Cool

Here’s the full image of the archer in question from Christian Dailey’s tweet: This character looks super similar to the one that appeared in the aforementioned teaser (and could very well be the same person). It didn’t occur to me while watching that trailer, but if this is a player character design, it hints at the possibility of a magic speciality for rogues, or even an archery speciality for mages....

Duncan Jones Still Wants To Make A Full Throttle Movie

Originally released in 1995, Full Throttle is a point ’n’ click ’n’ kick adventure game about Ben, the leader of a biker gang, who gets embroiled in conspiracy and mystery after the murder of a motorbike manufacturer’s founder. Tim Schafer wrote it at LucasArts way back when, and his new studio, Double Fine Productions, released a remaster in 2017. “If you loved the original, this is worth buying for the improved sound alone,” John Walker (RPS in peace) said in our Full Throttle Remastered review....

Dying Light 2 Delayed Again Into February 2022

“The team is steadily progressing with the production and the game is nearing the finish line,” Techland CEO Paweł Marchewka said in today’s announcement. “The game is complete and we are currently playtesting it. It is by far the biggest and the most ambitious project we’ve ever done. Unfortunately, we’ve realised for us to bring the game to the level we envision, we need more time to polish and optimise it....

Dying Light 2 Update Improves Dlss Stops Replicating Corpses

This PC-specific patch also claims to squish some nasty bugs, including the causes of various crashes and one that created doubles of dead bodies in co-op mode. Grim! You should be able to rebind your main mouse buttons now as well, though support for extra mouse inputs (like thumb buttons) is still in the works. But enough about trivial stuff like making the game actually work, how does DLSS look now?...

Ea Shutting Down Mirror S Edge Online Services In January

EA are also shutting down the multiplayer screenshot server for ageing RPG Dragon Age: Origins this Thursday, October 20th. You’ll still be able to play Mirror’s Edge and Dragon Age: Origins offline, so no worries there. It’s only online components being trimmed away. EA say this is a necessary part of the lifecycle of their older games, where player numbers can fall to as low as “fewer than 1% of all peak online players across all EA titles”....

Elden Ring Pc Launch And Preload Times Confirmed

The midnight console launches were already known, but the PC timings are new. The game’s Twitter yesterday announced ’em with a handy map. Basically, they’re flicking the switch on Steam at midnight CET on Friday the 25th, which means it’s 11pm on the 24th for us, and folks in Pacific timezone get it as early as 3pm. Elden Ring S New Pvp Arenas All Have Different Rules

Chumps who want to fight alongside their summonable Spirit Ashes have to go to their own special colosseum, for nerds. If you’re after big battles, Limgrave is the place to go. The colosseum there features two modes, “United Combat and Combat Ordeal”. United Combat is where “two teams fight in timed battles with the ability to respawn”, with victory going to whichever team did the most murders. Combat Ordeal is a free-for-all, also with respawns, where points are clocked up for killing and lost for dying....

Elden Ring S Pc Version Suffers Technical Problems

To my great surprise, Elden Ring this morning sits on Steam with a ‘Mixed’ player review rating with only 60% positive reviews. Almost every negative review I’ve read is about technical issues: stuttering, low framerates, crashes, invisible enemies, controllers not being recognised, Easy Anti-Cheat errors, and more. While Steam player reviews obviously can be gamed and abused, these just read like people frustrated with a game they want to enjoy....

Elden Ring S Trailer Made Me Crave A Fromsoftware Management Game

So long as Elden Ring looked even remotely like Dark Souls, those folks were going to be ecstatic. And needless to say, it looked exactly like Dark Souls. But if you think I’m easing into some jaded, aloof dismissal, think again. I would have been just as excited as all the lore-roarers were, but for one tiny difference. I wish it had been revealed that Elden Ring was going to be a management game....

Europa Universalis Iv Emperor Expansion Out Now

According to Paradox, the new expansion “focuses on improving the game experience for European nations, adding greater depth for the Catholic states and a more energetic and interactive Holy Roman Empire.” Popes can appoint Cardinals, collect tithes, sway the souls of the populace, and other such religious figure things. You’re up against the coming tide of the Protestant Reformation, including the new Hussite faith in Bohemia that can embrace heresy in the early game and stand against the Pope....

Failbetter S Mask Of The Rose Fully Funded On Kickstarter

They decided to fundraise the game to find out how much interest there would be in a Fallen London romance. Judging from the speed at which it was funded, I’d say the answer is: a lot. Genshin Impact Update 2 5 Will Bring New Characters Bosses Bartending

I was immediately focused back in. Update 2.5, “When the Sakura Bloom”, will launch on February 16th with three new characters. Here’s the trailer: Genshin Impact is generous, but it’s still a gacha game and that means its new content is driven by new characters - and often characters you have a time-limited opportunity to win. After the update, you’ll have a period where you’ll be able to unlock Yae Miko, the pink-haired fox lady and Electro Catalyst user seen in the trailer above....
