Dave Oshry, founder of New Blood Interactive posted a video on Twitter showing off the cut weapon. He even left a follow up with details on the console commands if you want to give it a try for yourself (note that you will need to use Cheat Engine on PC to be able to do it). I reckon that pistol could’ve been pretty useful had it ended up in the game properly....
The developers are keeping pretty quiet on the details until the full game launches, but we do know that some of that new content includes something called City Crawl. Again, we don’t actually know what that means yet, but Matt reckons it might look something like Dota 2’s Cavern Crawl, which is essentially a bunch of battle pass challenges to unlock different cosmetics. I suppose it’s time to talk about that little cute thing above - his name is Enno, the Scavenger King, and he’s the latest Underlord to make his way to the game....

EA are also shutting down the multiplayer screenshot server for ageing RPG Dragon Age: Origins this Thursday, October 20th. You’ll still be able to play Mirror’s Edge and Dragon Age: Origins offline, so no worries there. It’s only online components being trimmed away. EA say this is a necessary part of the lifecycle of their older games, where player numbers can fall to as low as “fewer than 1% of all peak online players across all EA titles”....

The midnight console launches were already known, but the PC timings are new. The game’s Twitter yesterday announced ’em with a handy map. Chumps who want to fight alongside their summonable Spirit Ashes have to go to their own special colosseum, for nerds. If you’re after big battles, Limgrave is the place to go. The colosseum there features two modes, “United Combat and Combat Ordeal”. United Combat is where “two teams fight in timed battles with the ability to respawn”, with victory going to whichever team did the most murders. Combat Ordeal is a free-for-all, also with respawns, where points are clocked up for killing and lost for dying....
To my great surprise, Elden Ring this morning sits on Steam with a ‘Mixed’ player review rating with only 60% positive reviews. Almost every negative review I’ve read is about technical issues: stuttering, low framerates, crashes, invisible enemies, controllers not being recognised, Easy Anti-Cheat errors, and more. While Steam player reviews obviously can be gamed and abused, these just read like people frustrated with a game they want to enjoy....

Fallout Worlds offers players the ability to edit the settings of the game, removing build restrictions and upending game balance, then inviting friends along to play. The online Fallout spin-off has long had private servers, but Worlds offers a way to tweak the configuration of your game. If you want to be able to build in previously restricted areas, you can do that. If you want to build enormous bases without electricity needs, or increase the difficulty and gift unlimited ammo, you can do that, too....
