Spiritfarer Review

It is a cosy management game where you spend most of your time harvesting things to make other things. Like Stardew Valley, but where your thousand acts of labour are done entirely for, on the face of it, nothing. Or at least not for your own material gain. It’s all given away. It is excellent. When I previewed Spriritfarer I was told by Nicolas Guérin, the lead writer and creative director at developers Thunder Lotus Games, that every player has one spirit whose death really gets to them....

Split Screen Romcom Romp It Takes Two Is Out Now

After playing Hazelight’s last co-op ’em up A Way Out earlier this year, I was feeling cautiously optimistic about about It Takes Two. I had a decent time with A Way Out, but its transition from stealth puzzles to car chases to third-person shooting wasn’t terribly smooth. Game director Josef Fares put a lot of emphasis prior to It Takes Two’s launch on how each area has you and your pal tackling some totally different set of tasks, which had me worried it would be a similarly bumpy ride....

Star Trek Online Crossing Over With Picard And Discovery

Seven and Michael are here in a new two-part episode called The Measure Of Morality, out today. Cryptic Studios explain: The update also brings a new ship combining Federation and Klingon technology, Khitomer Alliance Battlecruiser. I played a wee bit of Star Trek Online years back (around the free-to-play switch in 2011, maybe?) and couldn’t get into it. Even by the standards of the time, the combat and questing felt woefully old....

Steam Game Festival Summer Edition Starts Today With Demos

Head on over to Valve’s event page for every game taking part. So, so many games are there. Even with the incomplete list available before launch, a few games with demos caught my eye. Pendragon, the Arthurian turn-based strategy RPG from Inkle, the makers of 80 Days and Heaven’s Vault. Windjammers 2, the sequel to a cult favourite Neo Geo frisbee battle game. Genesis Noir, the surreal metaphysical adventure game about saving your love from the Big Bang of a god’s gunshot....

Super Auto Pets Makes Monday The Best Day Of My Gaming Week

Super Auto Pets is a breezy, colourful, and slimline auto-battler, a bit like Dota Auto Chess smooshed into Monster Train with a load of cute animals. It was one of our our favourite games of 2021, and I’m delighted to still be playing in 2022. This is mostly thanks to the Weekly Pack mode. Regular Super Auto Pets is divided into three matchmaking pools: the base pack everyone can play with; the first expansion; and the second expansion....

Super Mega Baseball 3 Is Out Today Plus A Demo

Sounds like there are quite a few new bits putting Mega Baseball the third head and shoulders over its predecessors. Metalhead say that it’s got “new pickoff and stealing mechanics, wild pitches/passed balls, designated hitters, and situational player traits.” There’s also a new Franchise Mode that lets you manage your team as your players age and retire while choosing which free agents to sign. Metalhead also say that the third of the series has “vastly improved graphics....

Terraria Dev S Google Account Got Fixed So It S Coming To Stadia After All

Now it seems that the issue has been resolved, and Terraria is again on route to Google’s beleaguered cloud gaming platform. The news that Terraria for Stadia was back on was delivered not by Spinks himself, but by fellow Re-Logic developer Ted “Loki” Murphy in a forum update. Stadia is Google’s cloud gaming subscription service, and it’s in dire need of third-party games like Terraria, having closed down all its internal development teams....

The 10 Best Star Wars Games To Play On Pc In 2023

Fortunately, I’ve whittled them down to a nice, digestible list of the 10 best Star Wars games you should play on PC today, the emphasis very much being on the word ’today’. This is not a list of the best Star Wars games of all-time. Rather, these are the games we’d recommend you play right now, perhaps in anticipation of the upcoming Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, or one of the many other Star Wars games developers Respawn et al are making right now....

You can strap a giant cargo compartment to the backside, yank off the shield generator, paint it bright yellow, and stand back in awe at your beautiful glass lorry. The Alto Collection Is Sliding Onto The Epic Games Store For Free Next Week

The games are split over snowy mountains and sloping deserts, both excellent things to slide down. They get a lot out of the premise. After the llamas escape, you slide after them, doing basic tricks like backflips and dodging rocks, and adding advanced stuff like wall-rides and wingsuits. You can ride over the top of hot air balloons and glide with tornadoes to look extra cool if you like. It’s a mix of relaxing drifting and extreme sports....

The Bbc Interviewed Watchdog S Legion S Director In Game

Watch Dogs Legion, for those who don’t know, is Ubisoft’s upcoming open world game set in post-Brexit England some time in the future. The game boasts that you can play as quite literally any NPC you pass, as your goal is to recruit people into your sneaky yet resourceful group. Not shying away from the very political theme Watch Dogs Legion is based around, Cieslak mentions the divisive nature of Brexit and how “quite a lot of people are going to be angry that it’s been included in a video game”....

The Best Games You Missed In 2021 Agatha Christie Hercule Poirot The First Cases

In a macro sense, this game covers just two cases - one where a bit of jewelry has gone missing, and another later on (and in the intervening years Poirot goes from uniformed officer to plain clothes detective) involving blackmail before a wedding. But within those, you get a bunch of different sub-mysteries. Who is secretly in a relationship, and with whom? What exactly is going on between the journalist and the union boss?...

The Best Rpgs On Pc In 2023

We’ll keep it updated, too, as this year is set to bring us Starfield, and Dragon Age 4 is somewhere on the horizon. They might not be good, but if they are then there’s a spot for them on the list. For now, though, let’s stick with stuff that is out and ready to play. Best RPGS on PC Our main rule when putting together these lists is that a game should still be fun to play today, rather than just making a big impact when it came out....
