Black Panther was one of the first planned additions to the game, but was delayed after the passing of Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman in August 2020. The character is now arriving as the third major expansion to the third-person action-adventure, alongside a new enemy faction, the Wakanda biome, and a handful of other changes. Klaw, who narrates the trailer above, is the villain played by Andy Serkis in the recent Marvel movies....

“Starting today, J. Allen Brack will be stepping down as the leader of the studio, and Jen Oneal and Mike Ybarra will co-lead Blizzard moving forward,” reads Blizzard’s statement. “Jen and Mike have more than three decades of gaming industry experience between them. Moving forward, they will share responsibilities over game development and company operations.” Brack had been president of the studio since 2018, after former president Mike Morhaime stepped down....

In Graffiti Games’ words, Blue Fire will have you “embark on an extraordinary adventure through the perished world of Penumbra to explore unique temples filled with increasingly difficult 3D platforming challenges, diverse enemies, quests, collectibles, and more.” There look to be some good ol’ boss fights in there too. In its trailer from January, Blue Fire focused a bit more on all the jump and dash platforming skills. You get more of that in the launch trailer up above, but Graffiti Games have also thrown in some additional adventure nods such as NPCs bestowing mysterious glowing boxes and ghostly looking guardians and statues hopping into place on buttons and whatnot....

You know what Borderlands is, right? Colourful loot-shooter, billions of guns, Mad Max bandits and a heaping dose of fart jokes? The Handsome Collection includes Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, a strange spin-off that lets you blast monsters in low gravity as a tiny loud-mouthed robot. While it’s missing that awkward first entry and last year’s Borderlands 3, these are some well good shooters for burying yourself in guns over a weekend or two....

If you think that the time-warping platformer looks just fine as it is, Blow disagrees. The original art just wasn’t meant to be seen at 4k, a resolution that seemed in the distant future when they were making it. In bringing Braid up-to-date, they’ve gone right back to their easel and started redrawing the entire game. Backdrops are going to be considerably higher-detail (and will have animated brushstrokes adding the final touches as you play), animations smoother, and the character model redrawn....

At £89.99 / $99.99 for a six-month subscription, the RTX 3080 tier costs twice as much as the next tier down, Priority – and that also delivers RTX features like ray tracing and DLSS. That said, the RTX 3080 tier also represents a significant step up in visual quality, supporting up to 120fps on display resolutions up to 1440p when streaming on a PC or Mac. The Priority tier can only handle, at most, 60fps at 1080p, so the new tier comes much closer to what you’d expect from a high-end PC setup....

You’re in luck though, Castlevania’s first season was a breezy four episode run and season 2 added another eight. So if you’re looking to catch up, you’ve got just enough time to do it before March. Seriously, begone now because it’s spoiler time....

Developers CD Projekt Red now say they’re “actively investigating” the problems, and will update us on what they find “as soon as possible”. Here’s the tweet. The real kicker is that turning off those fancy ray-tracing effects still leaves people with fewer frames than they had before the update, which shouldn’t be a huge deal for those with high-end cards but could be a game-breaker for those who could only just about run the game anyway....

Firaxis say that over the course of the six DLC’s they’ll be adding “eight new civilizations, nine new leaders and a variety of new gameplay content, including six new game modes.” Firaxis say in their developer update below that the Maya will make a return. Never-played Gran Columbia will be another addition. They also mention an “apocalypse mode,” new buildings, new units, and new tile improvements. There are more updates than that and Firaxis say “we think you’ll pleasantly surprised by a couple of them....

The PC Gaming Show is put together by cheery RPS fanzine PC Gamer and normally takes place in LA during E3. Since E3 has burst, spreading itself across the summer months as a kind of eternal E3, the PC Gaming Show is instead happening as a livestream. C&C Remastered has a pretty long list of upgrades for the collection. Petroglyph have created new 4K assets for the game, the sleek and not pixelated ones above. If you really want to take a trip to the past though, you can toggle between modern and classic visuals. Petroglyph have also re-imagined the interface, opting for a modern sidebar option that they say should reduce all that scrolling you have to do....

Speaking in Malaysia (and as reported by Nikkei Asia), Gelsinger warned that industry efforts to expand production would take time to take effect. Specifically, efforts that began around two years ago in response to the COVID-19 pandemic will need at least three years before bearing fruits. Other production drives are underway – the Intel chief was in Malaysia after announcing a 10-year plan to boost manufacturing in the country – though many are longer-term measures, like building and expanding factories, that won’t make a difference anytime soon....

Craftopia remains every game that has ever existed, from Zelda to Factorio, just as it was last year - only now it’s available via Xbox Game Pass. This trailer is almost identical to the one last year, although the cows being fed into lava have been moved upfront (where they belong) and there’s new footage showing various mounts. The mounts include the aforementioned giraffe, and also a chicken that seems potentially larger than the giraffe?...

So it’s a good price - but why is it worth getting? Well, the P2 falls into a very useful category of NVMe SSDs, which pair the super-fast NVMe standard with relatively mundane flash memory. It’s not as fast as the best PCIe 4.0 or even 3.0 drives, thanks to its lack of a DRAM cache and the use of QLC flash memory over faster TLC NAND - but that means it’s sold at quite a reasonable price....
