Classic Dandelion. After Geralt finds and returns it, the bard can perform a concert at The New Narakort inn. The original version is a much shorter, sadder tune that Dandelion plays for a small group of listeners at the inn....

It’s a new ground for the service to get in contact with impressionable young’uns - one that leverages parasocial relationships between viewer and streamer as a way to sell military service....

And as you embark on gnarly hunts together, it’ll gain experience and gradually become more efficient in leading you to your next hapless victim. You also won’t be lumped with a dog you’re not keen on, as you can choose its gender, name it, and customise its fur coat to your liking. Days Gone is set in a post-apocalyptic Pacific Northwest and stars outlaw-turned-wife-guy Deacon St. John as he journeys to discover whether his wife Sarah, previously presumed dead, is actually alive. As a game, it was praised for some of its systems, unfavourably compared to Sony’s other post-apoc story The Last Of Us, and gently mocked for its story. We thought it was best when you made the bike invisible. Sony PlayStation Productions are moving forward with developing the project in the wake of their first film adaptation, Uncharted, which was released in cinemas earlier this year....

Such a creature am I for Peter Talisman: Lord Of The Harvest, a game that fills your screen with a huge field of gently swaying corn. You, clicking experimentally, find you can cut this corn, one plant at a time, and eventually discover a strange standing stone. Once you touch it, it plays music. You are compelled to keep cutting corn, and find more stones. This is the idle-ish bit of the game: you hire peasants and donkeys using the grain you have collected, and outfit them with better shoes, larger bags to carry more grain before they have to retun to the silo, and so on....

The premise is simple: you carve a pumpkin. Every player can submit three pumpkins to the server, but you can have as many goes as you want at the carving table. When you’ve got a pump you’re happy with, you can place it in the festival display alongside the work of your fellow ghosts. It is, and I am not exaggerating here, wonderful. There are a few different displays (as ‘alternate universes’ in the menu) so hopefully we won’t immediately run out of space....

Having now done some reading on this dark slate of mystery, I am a firm believer that it’s home to a feature that is more Dark Souls than any other feature described in article proclaiming that something is like From Software’s sublime action-RPG.

In this first one she’s had a crack at the twins’ room in What Remains Of Edith Finch, which should count as doing two rooms, really. When your humble boat (no bigger than a dingy) crashed on the island it got majorly busted up. To get the parts needed to repair your vessel and sail home, you need to trade items with the friendly frog locals by navigating a spaghetti network of trades and scavenger hunting quests. Seems easy enough, but there’s a slight hitch. You don’t speak the same language as the frogs, so they communicate what they want through pictures instead of dialogue....

A lot like Rome: Total War, Total War: Rome will be a strategy game set in the centuries leading up to Rome’s imperial period, with the Barbarian Invasion and Alexander expansions included too. The remaster is being handled by Feral Interactive, who’ve previously done Mac and Linux ports of many Total War games. This new version is spruced up to play nice with modern high and ultrawide resolutions, and Creative Assembly say it has “overhauled environment, battlefield, and character models....

We already know that the leaked Assassin’s Creed: Mirage is legit thanks to confirmation from Ubisoft last week. It’s alleged that the Ubisoft Forward presentation will begin with a look at Mirage, followed by reveals of the other games. These are apparently codenamed Project Red (Japan) and Project Hexe (witch trials), although Hexe has also gone by the name Project Neo. It’s claimed Red and Hexe form part of the rumoured Assassin’s Creed Infinity anthology platform....

I’ve started to find it difficult to tell the difference between the many mid-’90s shooter revivals. Yer Amid Evils, DUSKs and so on all wash over me and leave only a refreshed desire to play more Devil Daggers. Ultrakill appeals more than the others however, as it’s pairing its Quake-inspired weaponry with movement abilities, combos and the need to recharge your health via getting enemy blood on you. There looks to be a rhythm and flow to it....

That’s a fair bit earlier than anyone expected, mind. While planned to arrive with the eventual release of Episode 2 (which would arrive at the end of Act 3), Riot have chosen to push Icebox out a little early due to overwhelming demand. “This map was originally going to come out in Episode 2 as planned, but many of us on the project felt it was worth buckling down hard and getting it finished to release it early,” Riot developer Altombre explained on Reddit....

Dota 2 player “Minijuanjohndoe” posted on Reddit yesterday claiming that they’d bickered with a teammate over match tactics after repeatedly dying chasing what they believed was a lost cause. “He got tired of fighting with me and told me do you know who your talking to. Check my profile I’m a steam employee,” Minijuanjohndoe explains. After the match, Minijuanjohndoe says they were thrown into Dota 2’s low priority matchmaking status, a temporary penalty for players who have exhibited poor conduct like abandoning multiple matches or being reported by other players for in-game behavior....
