We don’t know anything about what the extended ending entails yet, and I’m not sure the other inclusions are enough to draw anyone who’s already completed the game back in. Fugue is the new ability coming to Deathloop, which basically gets people drunk. I do like the look of the weapon coming with Goldenloop, an energy rifle that fires a continuous beam that can bounce off turrets and cameras. Paint bombers are the new enemy, who’re essentially a walking explosive Jackson Pollock artwork....

Of course, that’s just one way they’re celebrating the milestone, alongside an anniversary event and new DLC. Deep Rock Galactic’s post-launch content updates have all been free, with ongoing development funded by new sales of the game and cosmetic bundles. Apparently there’s been a “repeated question” from players, however, about how to support the game. “For those of you who want to show your continued support of Deep Rock Galactic, we have put together a most decadent, most luxurious, most supportive package of cosmetic DLC and extra goodies,” says a post about the anniversary plans....

I don’t particularly care for sweet potatoes, but I sure did have a grand time with Shadow Tactics. If you’re not familiar, it’s a real-time tactical stealth game where you’ve got a group of sneaky pros with different skills—carrying corpses or luring away guards and such—that you use in tandem to quietly kill your way through various story missions. I’ve not gotten to take a spin with Desperados 3 just yet (more of the same, but cowboys) but I can honestly say it’s the game I missed this year I’m most hoping to put hours on during holiday hibernation....

I do like the look of his robots. Bungie don’t explain how Seraph Towers will work but I assume broadly like the waves of Escalation Protocol and Altars Of Sorrow?...

The post on Reddit looking at the cost of microtransactions has existed since before launch, but has been updated since the game was released. The post initially estimated that maxing out a Diablo Immortal character would cost over $100k, in part because of a single stat in the game’s beta that would cost $50-60k on its own to get. In the fully released version, it seems prices have come down....

Instead it has a boss at the end that you’ll need to defeat. As always, it’s worth noting that at the end of the level, you’ll unlock the ability to Fast Travel to specific points in the level....

Developers Pineleaf Studio really want you to play the game in multiplayer. Each class, builder, miner, warrior, and diplomat, has a part to play in your base’s expansion, meaning it’ll be tricky to succeed without someone manning dwarfing those roles. Nate got very excited about this concept when he first heard about it. So Pinleaf are making a special Dwarfheim game client that will enable players to join friends who own the game and fill in those roles, via a friend-pass....

Metal Dogs is a twin stick (sort of) shooter about sending heavy weapons platforms into irradiated future deserts to fight giant insects, ghost tanks, and robot hippos. Naturally, those heavy weapons platforms are strapped onto dogs.

Epic initially kicked off the disagreement last week by bypassing the cut of sales that Apple takes from Fortnite V-Bucks purchases through the App Store, which led to Apple removing Fortnite from the store. Apple are now threatening to terminate Epic’s developer program account on August 28th, which would prevent Epic from developing updates for their Unreal Engine game development software relevant to iOS devices. Epic have published the temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction request that they’ve filed....

Newbie void villains, the Triglavians, have been vaguely menacing players for almost a year, but they’re about to arrive in force, starting a war with regular space that players can join on either side.
