Why am I sad? Because Warzone’s murder door achieved celebrity status, even if it clearly hated it. Players would fly into Verdansk to pay it a visit, and by “visit”, I mean run headfirst into it and get murdered. But as one door closes in Warzone, another also closes, as they say. The recently added MG82 light machine gun was introduced at the start of Season 4 and it was ridiculously strong....
So, Rebirth Island! It’s a small new battle royale map focused around a weapons facility. Smaller map, fewer players, still plenty of murder. Fresh forms of murder too (well, fresh-ish), now that Cold War weapons and attachments have arrived in Warzone. The new season brings cross-game progression between Warzone, Cold War, and Modern Warfare, so unlocks from the new battle pass are in Warzone too. As ever, the pass offers some stuff to all players but more if you pay....

That is the base game, mind, without the expansions that really do a lot to improve it. If you want those, for £34 you can upgrade to the Platinum Edition with both the Gathering Storm and Rise & Fall expansions and the six old Civilization & Scenario Pack DLCs....
Both games are being developed under a partnership between Remedy and publisher 505 Games. In a press release, the “bigger-budget” game is mentioned in only loose terms, “to be agreed in more detail in the future.” The real focus of the announcement is Condor, the four-player PvE spin-off. Writing on the Remedy website, Control game director Mikael Kasurinen framed the multiplayer game as a substantial departure for Remedy, who have only made singleplayer games so far....
First released on consoles in October 2020, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is the first sequel in well over a decade for the platformer series which started on PlayStation was back in 1996, . Crash Bandicoot is bad, and always has been, but the PC release of Crash 4 is even worse for the always-online requirement. This third-person Cyberpunk mod was made by “Jelle Bakker” on Nexus Mods. It lets you see V in four different third-person styles: centering the camera behind V, placing them slightly to the left or right of the screen, or a front camera so you can see their beautiful face (be warned: the controls become backwards if you use this one). The gist: it’s early days, but they’re looking to be faithful to the original game - and no, it won’t have microtransactions. While aiming to be faithful, Dead Space is a ground-up remake designed with modern technology in mind. Creative director Roman Campos-Oriola told IGN that this meant they could fulfill the designer’s original intent. “We started with the original level design of the original Dead Space,” says Campos-Oriola. “What’s funny is that you can see some of the iterations that were made prior to ship by the team....

Hit Deathloop’s Steam review page and you’ll find a fair proportion of reviewers griping about stuttering. Quite a few of these folks say they have big beefy PCs too, real Pinchokers, Threadchuggers, and Proghuffers that far exceed the game’s system requirements. It’s hard to get a firm sense of how widespread the issue is because people who suffer it are likely to pipe up at this point, while those who don’t, likely won’t....
Yesterday’s announcement says they have now removed skill-based matchmaking from all Crucible playlists except Survival (aka Competitive), Survival: Freelance (aka solo Comp), and Elimination. Trials Of Osiris was always based on the number of wins on your ticket instead, and will remain so. That’s all of Destiny’s ‘casual’ PvP modes free from skill considerations. So why’s this good? Bungie explain their goals include shortening queue times, improving the connection quality of matches, to “Provide more places where the outcome of the match isn’t as important as enjoying the experience”, and to “Play into the strengths of Crucible being a bombastic, frenetic action game....
Running until September 22nd, the Moments Of Triumph 2020 event has 28 achievements to complete to claim the MMXX title. These range from easy ones like reaching max Crucible rank or completing bounties to tougher challenges like completing the Prophecy dungeon and finishing five specific raids: Leviathan, Eater Of Worlds, Spire Of Stars, Crown Of Sorrow, and Scourge Of The Past. Those are the raids which will be removed from the game next season and placed in the Destiny Content Vault, as part of Bungie’s plan to stop the game wildly out of control by cycling content in and out....
According to the Australian Classification website (as spotted by Gamasutra), the game has been refused because it depicts: “matters of sex, drug misuse or addiction, crime, cruelty, violence or revolting or abhorrent phenomena in such a way that they offend against the standards of morality, decency and propriety generally accepted by reasonable adults.” I mean, yeah, the game does have those things in them, but it’s largely about dealing with those sorts of destructive behaviours....
From what I can gather from the description on the game’s website, you play as a vampire named Valvatorez who starts a revolt against the leader of the… Netherworld? Presumably, some bizarre JRPG drama then ensues, then you fight turn-based tactical battles while leading your revolution. Not to mention the fact your monsters can be turned into weapons, you can fight through Item Worlds inside your equipment to level it up more, you can go inside party members too, and there is so much to optimise grind as you level up towards to a whopping 9999 cap....

The DLC included is the Dunwall City Trials, The Knife Of Dunwall, The Brigmore Witches, and Void Walker’s Arsenal. I assume at this point that I don’t need to sing the praises of Dishonored. It’s a Thief-inspired urban fantasy sneaker in which you avenge the recently unalived queen and clear your name by teleporting past guards, possessing rats, and dumping any unfortunate soul you choose to murder into dumpsters....
My instinct is usually not to spoil the surprises of Doki Doki, though the description of the Plus version gives itself away a bit more than the original. Team Salvato refer to it as a “critically-acclaimed psychological horror story,” which it is, but I’ll not let on what’s so horrifying about what appears to be a standard dating sim visual novel. “Your childhood friend invites you to join the school literature club,” explains Mexi Gremillion in RPS’s list of best visual novels....
