Horizon Zero Dawn Pc Review
I knew the PC port would have to be either unplayable, or introduce an inexplicable wisecracking pelican as Aloy’s sidekick, to change my opinion of what’s probably my favourite ever action game. And so here we are. Despite a couple of hardware wiggles, and some tough moments with mouse and keyboard in a game shot through with PlayStation DNA, there is no pelican, and Horizon Zero Dawn is, for me, a very Bestest Best....
How American Truck Simulator Recreates The Grand American West
These states are articulated by highways and truck stops, industrial centres and sweeping multilevel interchanges. But that doesn’t mean their sweep isn’t glorious. America is, after all, built on trucking. The industry’s motto is, “If you bought it, a truck brought it,” and in ATS you get to experience mass haulage in a world which aims to mirror, as close as it can, the great American west. But it was built in Prague, on an engine that sometimes requires clever tricks to represent the scale of it all, by a team of map designers who are strangers to American culture....
How New World Transformed From A Toxic Survival Horror Game Into A Juggernaut Mmo
The devs noticed that in the alpha of the survival horror version of New World, more experienced players were just… just absolutely ganking new players as they were brought into the alpha. The older players were, obviously, enjoying this. The newer players? Not so much. Kaszynski notes that if players are interacting with your game and end up making it a different game to the one you thought you’d created, that can be fine....
How Psychonauts 2 Turns The Mind Inside Out
These individual realities can only be conveyed through language and other subjective means of communication, and more and more games are grasping this fact, turning inward to explore and map the inland empires of the mind. They have all the tools of the medium at their disposal to turn the invisible workings of the mind into landscapes of audio-visual and mechanical metaphors that can be explored and interacted with. At their best, they convey the dynamic and complex mechanisms of the psyche in a way that only this medium can....
How To Complete The Moon Challenge In Spelunky 2
How to complete the Moon Challenge in Spelunky 2 You’ll find Tun, the proprietor of the Moon Challenge, early in world 2. She can show up either in the forest or lava versions of the world. She’ll ask you for $10,000 in return for taking on the Moon Challenge, so pay this and head into the door behind her. The Moon Challenge is super simple, although you aren’t told the actual goal of it....

How To Install An Ssd In A Desktop Pc
Most modern PC cases come dotted with mounting points for 2.5in SSDs, usually in more accessible spots than the 3.5in cages typically used for holding HDDs, and if you opt for a slimmer M.2/PCIe SSD – which I’d strongly recommend – then it can slot directly into the motherboard without any power or data cables to worry about. This guide will explain how to install SSDs of both types, so click the links below to jump to the most relevant section....

Required quests to start Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak To start Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, you must have completed the 7-star Hub Quest “Serpent Goddess of Thunder.” This quest is the “end” of the Monster Hunter Rise base game story, though there is actually a bit more story in later Hub Quests after the credits roll. How Warhammer 40K Chaos Gate Daemonhunters Aims To Avoid Analysis Paralysis By Letting You Carve Up The Galaxy
This led to Complex remodelling as a work-for-hire outfit, and their long track-record making mobile games. But in 2015, Complex launched The Horus Heresy: Drop Assault, a fast-paced tactics game in conjunction with Games Workshop. In the wake of Drop Assault’s success, the studio saw an opportunity. “We had been wanting for a long time to return to our PC roots,” he says. “So we pitched a core idea for a game to Games Workshop, because Drop Assault had been quite successful… and that’s essentially how Chaos Gate: Daemonhunters came to be....
I Am Enchanted By Magical Life Sim Little Witch In The Woods
It’s from Sunny Side Up, a teeny dev team based in South Korea, and honestly I can’t get over how lovely it is. You play as an apprentice witch (size: small) named Ellie, and will spend your time making potions, studying magical creatures like birds that grow flowers on their heads, or round rabbity blobs called Squishychubs. As the valedictorian of her witch school, Ellie seems to expect a bit of a better placement than the tiny rundown forest town she ends up in....
I Miss Hollow Knight
I know I could just play Hollow Knight. But that’s not really the point. Do you ever wish that you could wipe your memory of a favourite game, just to experience it all again? Alas, my memories are intact and I’ve played it so much I don’t want to burn myself out, on the off-chance Hollow Knight: Silksong suddenly appears. The Hollow Knight expansion-turned-sequel was announced back in February 2019....
I Salute The Artists On Glass Masquerade 2 Going All In On Scary Meets Horny
Luckily, my laptop can also run Glass Masquerade 2: Illusions. This is a jigsaw game inspired by stained glass windows, and I love it because those stained glass windows are from the most ridiculous church ever dreamed of. I played a billion hours of it last week. I will preface this by saying that Glass Masquerade 2 is a genuinely good puzzle game. There are different difficulty levels, so you can have the game automatically show you where to place some edgy bits if you need help getting started....
Igf 2022 Finalists Include Inscryption Unpacking And Cruelty Squad
Any developer can submit their game to the IGF Awards, with the submissions then crawled over by a large swarm of developers and journalists - including spit filth like me. The recommendations then guide a smaller number of handselected jurors - spit not me - who choose the finalists. Winners are then revealed during GDC in San Francisco, which this year is due to take place March 21st-25th. Winning an IGF Award used to confer instant practical benefits, like Valve swooping in and letting you putting your game on Steam....
Immortals Fenyx Rising May Launch In December
The briefly available store page was captured by “Wario64” on Twitter complete with a description, some new screenshots, and the release date. The Microsoft Store has sprung plenty of leaks lately, sharing the release date for Yakuza: Like A Dragon, the name and screenshots for Star Wars: Squadrons, and the Crysis remaster which all turned out spot on. That is to say, yeah, sounds like Immortals Fenyx Rising is quite likely launching in December....
Iron Harvest Getting New World Map Campaign In Next Free Update
Developers KING Art teased the update in a recent Steam post, as spotted by cheeky RPS fanzine PC Gamer. Apparently “a new World Map Campaign mode for single player vs. A.I.” will arrive in the next month or so. The World Map campaign gives you various scenarios to choose from, each set on a map split into distinct territories, some unclaimed and some already controlled by enemy AI. You then choose how to advance across the map....

The bundle launched on June 5th with 749 video games, tabletop RPGs, game-making tools and bits, and such. It now has 1704. Some of those are free games, but part-way through Itch switched to only adding paid things. There are still: so many games. Journey Will Descend On Steam In June
Annapurna Interactive announced the June 11th date today and I’m honestly excited even though I’ve played the 2ish hour game many times over. If you aren’t familiar, Journey is short and very pretty adventure game set in a mysterious desert. Your faceless, hooded protagonist collects bits to their shiny cloak that allow them to fly about solving light puzzles as they learn the fate of their fellow robed folks. It’s a quiet game, told with emotional music instead of any voice over....
