Before Armored Royale, I was totally content with vanilla Warzone and its consistent, even flavour. But now that I’ve discovered rum and raisin, I’m struggling to go back. Life with trucks is chaotic and devious and hilarious in ways which classic modes can’t match. And yet it’s only a limited time mode. It’s going to vanish one day and I can’t think about this for too long otherwise I’ll sob over my space bar....

Loba is coming to Apex on May 12th, which just so happens to be the start date of the game’s fifth season. Titled Fortune’s Favor, Season 5 looks like it’s bringing some new story-based missions to the battle royale. The latest Stories From The Outlands animation, Legacy Of A Thief, seems to follow on from the trailer that revealed Revenant last season. It shows Loba dealing with the trauma of losing her parents to the robot assassin by becoming the best thief in the business, before finally finding where Revenant’s been hiding....

The old Mako was a bouncy and frustrating six-wheeled tank, but for the Legendary Edition it’s been tuned up to be a much smoother experience. As the Java snapshot 20W51A notes explain, these critters love eating tropical fish, so they’ll swim around you all friendly-like if you have a tropical fish bucket. Begging for treats, I guess. You can scoop axolotls up into buckets yourself to carry around too, because they don’t like being out the water unless it’s raining (I wouldn’t try this with real axolotls). Like the real creatures, who can regenerate whole limbs and even parts of vital organs like the heart and brain, they’ll heal themselves if injured, after playing dead for a bit....
Minecraft’s survival sandbox world is full of baddie monsters. There are skeletons and zombies and creepers, oh my. The trick is that they’ll only spawn in places where it’s dark enough. That means monsters will appear at night and inside caves when you venture deep enough. This newly proposed mob the Glare is a cute flying critter—made of what look like vines—who will alert you by getting grumpy when you’ve found an area where light levels are low enough to spawn monsters....

Now its developers say they’ve turned wealth transfers back on and “permanently banned players who exploited the Coin/Item dupe issue,” among many other updates. Let’s start with character transfers. Introduced as a way to ease player wait times when joining busy servers, character transfers were quickly switched off due to a gold duplication bug. After a couple of weeks, they’re back on again now. “We addressed this as well in our next hot fix, where we re-enabled trading and company transactions, as well as remove any duped Coin from companies who exploited the issue (or accidentally triggered it)....

Contrary to previous launches, it looks like the RTX 3060 will be going on sale a little later than previous RTX 30 cards. According to The Verge, retailers will be opening orders for the RTX 3060 at 9am PT / 12pm ET / 5pm GMT on February 25th, so make sure you set a reminder if you’re hoping to try and pick one up. The RTX 3060 will be the fifth RTX 30-series GPU Nvidia have launched over the last few months, and judging from the performance of its slightly more powerful sibling, the RTX 3060 Ti, it will likely be a great replacement for anyone with an ageing GTX 1060 card....
Roll7 detailed their new expansion over on the PlayStation blog. There they explain that Windzones can be used to " propel yourself forward over obstacles, bounce you backward onto hidden routes, and take yourself out with newer, faster, sillier slams than ever before." They should let you perform more tricks and reach higher scores. The new courses also feature “burly routes”, a step further than previous tracks “gnarly routes”. These are more difficult paths through levels, which only the best players will be able to successfully navigate but which will of course grant you even higher scores....
You’d think that a map showing the location of all the folks you want to talk to would be a standard part of townlife sim games but alas it is not. I know it’s not exactly immersive and wot not—I mean unless you’ve somehow managed to convince everyone in town to share their cell phone location data with you—but it saves on the frustration of stomping all over looking for that one exact person you need to find....
