What started as a tongue-in-cheek, though elaborate, joke for Twitter has become the sprawling Duke Nukem 3D mod project, still going sixteen months later. We can attribute the continued creation of this mod, now officially titled Duke Smoochem 3D, to several different things: much of the UK is now a hellscape of memeable moments; everyone finds the Gilliam-esque punchlines a great visual summation of said memeable moments; and, most importantly, it has been a space for its creator to heal....

In film, killer greenery has been going through a bit of a renaissance. The next Battlefield game hasn’t had a proper title announced yet and we don’t know its setting either. It had seemed possible we’d see some word on it last summer during EA’s video showcase event but the little glimpse we got of it was disappointing. Guiding my old favourite heroes through venerable maps like King’s Row and Route 66, it’s like I never left. In many ways, it feels like I’ve simply been given a reason to play Overwatch 1 again.
