Now cut to me still trying to finish The Witcher 3, curled up in my chair, and crumbling to dust....

Destiny 2’s weekly reset came at 5:00pm on Tuesday, bringing with it hotfix 2.7.1.1 with a few bug fixes (not including the infinite Dawnblade supers). Some players experienced a familiar sinking feeling when they saw their spacebank balance and… oh no. Bungie took Destiny 2 offline for emergency maintenance at 6:30, to fix the bug and roll back characters, then it came back minutes after midnight. All in all, the game was down for five-and-a-half hours and players lost two hours of progress from them....

Pupperazzi is one of those games that simply is what it appears to be. Set in a world populated entirely by dogs, your task is to walk, explore, and take photos of them. There are lots of different kinds of dogs, and the Steam store page lists shibas, terries, labradors, pugs, with more promised. Your camera is suitably tricked out so you can add filters and change lenses to get the best shots while the dogs mill around, riding bicycles, riding in minecarts, and so on....
It’s more than just stylish, too. As I’ve mentioned before, I’m bad enough at scrolling shooters, and outright averse to bullet hell, to make me less than an authority on which are the best. Elite lets you choose your own space path. You can mine, fight, explore, or a mix of all three. There are factions to join, deliveries to make, and sights to see. Most people play it like a space trucker. I got heavily into Elite Dangerous for a spell this year. Not really as a game, but as a career. I went mining. Hunting down low-temperature diamonds in asteroid fields, drifting along in VR, spinning my joystick around on the quest for space bucks....
The game starts as a sort-of linear side-scrolling adventure, before turning into more of a sandbox experience. Your main goal is to look after your little fox babies, and you’ll need to venture out from your fox hole to find food for them. Then as the game progresses, you’ll need to go to new areas to find other places to take shelter too. It looks similar to Shelter, a game about a mama badger looking after her own cubs....
The new lighting has required a huge effort to tweak and re-do loads of assets, and SCS explained that “the majority of all our teams had to stop working on anything else related to our future projects” so they could chip in. The new system isn’t quite physically based rendering but does take a big step in that direction. Along with the free to play week, anyone subscribing to Game Pass can claim a free month of Fallout 1st membership.
