It’s actually two games, and I’m not sure which to call the main event. I know which one I prefer, because the story mode is a love letter to Half-Life 2, complete with Bane-muffled jackboot cops, endlessly catching up with a Story Guy who’s inexplicably ahead of you again, a bionic arm standing in for the gravity gun, and a spooky dark underground section where you’re swarmed by creepy mutants....
The only Ryzen 3000 chips that are excluded from Smart Access Memory support are AMD’s Ryzen 5 3400G and Ryzen 3 3200G APUs. The rest, from the great value Ryzen 5 3600 right up to the premium Ryzen 9 3900X are all getting support. You will, however, still need one of AMD’s 500 series motherboards (either an X570 or B550 chipset) in order to take advantage of it, as well as one of AMD’s new RX 6000 GPUs, which we all know are pretty much impossible to get hold of right now due to ongoing stock shortages....

In fact, the £185 5700X is very close to the £225 5800X, with the same core/thread count, cache allocation and overall architecture. Amnesia: Rebirth stars Tasi Trianon, who finds herself in the Algerian desert with no memories of what’s happened in the past few days, and something awful out there in the shadows. And yup, Rebirth sounds like Frictional horror to me: first-person horror game with puzzles, monsters, and limited mental and physical resources, though the devs say they’re going harder this time. “Amnesia is not just another haunted house spook-fest, but an emotionally harrowing journey,” creative director Thomas Grip explained in today’s announcement....

Catalyst is a trans woman, and voiced by trans actor Meli Grant. Also known as Tressa Smith, Catalyst is an “experienced terraformer and defensive conjurer” who fights with a substance called ferrofluid. Respawn say this ferrofluid can “manipulate the battlefield”, although it’s not clear how just yet. Arriving in Season 15 along with Catalyst is a new map, Divided Moon, which was leaked earlier this year together with Catalyst and a batch of eight other unannounced heroes....
Shortly after the new Evolution event went live, Respawn tweeted that players were struggling to load into lobbies. A few hours later they thought they’d managed to resolve the issue, then realised something was still broken, before claiming they’d fixed it again. But this was just the start of a week’s worth of problems. The server issues persisted over the next few days and into the weekend. The devs said that an “unusual amount of players” were timing out when trying to load into lobbies, and, as one of those players, it was rather annoying....

Dice currently have several patches planned to fix various issues and concerns that players have raised since launch. The first of these patches dropped recently, nerfing the PP-29 by increasing recoil while tightening the spread on various automatic weapons to make them more accurate. This has slightly changed the order of our list, but you’ll see below that the PP-29 is still the best gun in Battlefield 2042, despite the recent changes....
Not that Battlefield 2042’s website or digital store pages have been updated to reflect that change yet. “In this update, we’re making multiple updates to the All-Out Warfare rotations,” says the patch notes post. “Our leading change is the removal of the 128 player version of Breakthrough.
