The culprit was my trusty AMD Radeon R9 290, which is the minimum AMD GPU listed in Horizon Zero Dawn’s PC requirements. Capcom have already addressed the save file issue in a patch from Janury 16th, so if you were waiting to play until getting the all-clear, you should be alright now. Today’s update addresses performance issues related to certain hardware and also aims to generally lower CPU usage. Here’s what the patch covers, according to Capcom’s Steam post: Capcom also remind players that they can only join sessions with other players running the same version of the game....

Yesterday, they published some patch pre-release info, reassuring us that the fixes will be released “in the coming days” - but warning players to be careful with their save data in the meantime. As Lauren reported last week: “Some players who jumped into the new Iceborne expansion noticed a message when they load in saying that ’no compatible save was found’. If you allow it, players are reporting that MHW will start a new save file, immediately replacing and deleting your old data, including your Steam Cloud save....

Big on the list are the online duel servers for getting all up close and personal with your rivals. TaleWorlds say that they duel map is made of of various arenas to make matches between various class types interesting, whether it’s an open field for melee folks or a location with a bit of cover for the archers. Duels will take place over multiple rounds, with the first to snag a win in three rounds being the winner....
