The developers, Re-Logic teamed up with Terraria YouTuber “ChippyGaming” to announce Update 1.4.4, aka Labor Of Love. Chippy explains that it will bring buffs to weapons including the Dark Lance, Frostbrand, Flairon, Scourge Of The Corruptor, and Star Wrath. A variety of loot sources will become more generous too, including rare Pirate Drops and chances of extra furtniture drops from Angler Quests. New items are coming too, though the only one revealed so far is the Resplendent Dessert, which lets you have both Royal Slime pets out at once....

Based on Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition rules, Dark Souls: The Roleplaying Game launched in the UK last month and comes to the US in May. It’s made by Steamforged Games, who have (often with the help of Kickstarters) made licensed board, card, and pen & paper adaptations of Resident Evil, Pac-Man, Devil May Cry, Monster Hunter World, and more. Our corporate siblings Dicebreaker gathered a load of complaints from players and ah, it’s a bit silly....
Immediately noticeable is the fairly big difference between how the original Suikodens look compared to their newly announced remaster treatment. The overworld’s been given some particular attention, and now has lovely clouds hovering above. Konami say they’ve zhuzhed up the sprites and environments with new effects such as lighting, flickering flames, smoke effects, moving flora and fauna, and animated shadows. All of the games’ character portraits have been given HD makeovers, with the first game’s portraits redrawn by original character designer Junko Kawano....
Going by the announcement, Colorful’s museum is real into mounting graphics cards on the wall with placards. They say they’re jaunting across the decades, with cards from the 1980s through to dedicated 3D accelerators like 3dfx’s Voodoo and into the shiny modern age. I think it’s mostly Colorful’s own cards, but other folks are represented too. Also has a fancy racing game setup with several 8K screens. Got a VR station with a walking pad too....
Rumours started circling about Rift/Mirage again after YouTuber j0nathan posted a video over the weekend containing what he claims is information about the game. This was later picked up on Twitter by Rebs Gaming. Schreier and Grubb both waded in to say they’d also heard the game will be called Mirage, with Schreier saying that his sources have lent weight to some aspects of j0nathan’s claims, but refuted others. According to j0nathan, Assassin’s Creed: Mirage will release in spring 2023 and be set in late 9th century Baghdad....
That’s a pretty big statement, and I’m as surprised as anyone. Going in, and even after a few hours, I’d expected to come out of this writing something like “great game hamstrung by its engine”. I’ve played some great RPG Maker games, and some of them weren’t even fetish games, but it does lead a great many of its users down the same awful design paths. Symphony Of War sidesteps or heavily mitigates most of those common flaws, leaving its biggest issue a cumbersome user interface....

If this rumour turns out to be true, which maps would we like to see return for Modern Warfare 2? COD’s multiplayer may get some stick from us, like in my Vanguard multiplayer and zombies review. Still, there’s no denying that over the years Call Of Duty’s multiplayer modes have brought us some fantastic arenas in which to get out a tablet, or a chunky phone, or a walkie talkie, and call in that generations’ version of a recon drone....
EA’s announcement says Neighborhood Stories is designed to “bring more life to Neighbour Sims that live outside the active household.” To that end, Neighbour Sims will soon have life changes they’ll consider themselves, as well as things you can convince them to do, including: changing their current career, having a baby, or hanging out with other Sims to form (or deepen) relationships. While there are some decisions they can make autonomously, Neighbours will never go ahead with anything without asking for your input first....
