Although there’s no new footage to share of Master Of Magic right now, Slitherine are promising to release videos showing specific game features in the time up to release. They’ll also be putting out dev diaries with more information about what to expect when Master Of Magic launches. The game’s already in public beta, if you fancy a head start, which you can sign up for here. Slitherine’s revamp of Master Of Magic was first revealed in 2020, after the company bought the rights the previous year....

Anyway, last week they asked people what the best celebrity conspiracy theories they’d been told were, and in response got one that just… it just destroyed me. The CPUs in question are the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 and 3600X processors. They’re both strong performers, falling slightly short of the Intel Core i5-9600K on gaming performance but undercutting it on price. The cheapest deal is on the Ryzen 5 3600, which can be had for £300 (down from its usual price of £360). This comes with the MSI X470 Gaming Pro Max motherboard, and AWD-IT are also throwing in a free Cooler Master Hyper 212 RGB Black Edition cooler with it, too (pictured above), which is a bit beefier than the standard AMD Wraith Spire cooler you’d normally get in the Ryzen 5 3600’s box....

As spotted by Games Radar, the Wannabe Netrunner mod adds a Humanity stat that goes down permanently based on the number of cyberware you have installed, and goes down temporarily depending on kills and usage of the Sandevistan cyberware. You can restore temporarily lost humanity by resting, or freeze its decline with the use of new Neuroblockers injections which can be purchased via Ripperdocs. If you let your humanity get too low, you’ll descend through three stages: first, you’ll start to experience visual glitches and critical damage debuffs; then you’ll enter pre-psychosis, in which the glitches and debuffs get worse and you’re at risk of cyberpsychosis; finally, you’ll enter cyberpsychosis, which actually enhances your speed, armor and health regeneration, but also causes police to spawn....

Hitman’s homing briefcase An undercover operative is nothing without his gadgets. Silver coins, a wet fish, exploding rubber ducks. But Hitman’s most entertaining non-lethal gizmo was the result of a bug. His briefcase is supposed to be used for smuggling sniper rifles and explosives into public spaces while looking like a reputable businessman. Come Hitman 2’s release day, the briefcase had other plans. It could fly long distances when thrown. It could round corners....

I’m very enamoured with the pocket pebble, as Rare are calling what is very obviously a pet rock. It even has a little smiley face scribbled on it, presumably to cheer you up if your ship’s sunk. The pocket pebble doesn’t quite have the abilities some of Sea Of Thieves’ actual pets do, so it won’t hop around after you as you navigate the game’s roiling waves, but it’s oddly cute....

It is a game where you go to derelict train stations and un-derelict them, picking up rubbish and replacing furniture and what have you. It sounds quite boring, and honestly it sort of is, except it also sort of isn’t. Having played the first couple of levels, I can confirm that Train Station Renovation, far from being mundane, feels frankly bizarre. It has left me with nothing but questions. And lots of screenshots of sweet, sweet graffiti....

Some old samurai dramas inch forwards, with long chats on tatami mats as messengers hurry in and bow and introduce yet another wisened warrior to the discussion. So far, at least, Trek To Yomi cuts to the chase – quite literally. In its first two chapters, you’re thrust into the geta of Hiroki, a young samurai who witnesses the death of his master and vows to protect his town from bandits....

Small town kids Luka and Rolo are about to get in well over their heads when they decide to investigate an abandoned old factory outside town that may be less empty than everyone thinks. The story is bound to go terribly wrong before it goes right though, because you’re in charge of picking how things play out at pivotal moments and you might not always have the right words at your disposal....

Nevertheless, this is the challenge presented to you in the puzzle game Twelve Minutes. You play a man voiced by James McAvoy who comes home for a nice evening with his Daisy Ridley wife, only for a Willem Dafoe policeman to burst in, zip tie you both, and strangle you to death for objecting to these circumstances. Luckily, every time you are murdered by Willem, or even try and walk out of your flat, or burn out the 12 minutes, you start the loop all over again....
