So it’s unsurprising that Tiny Combat Arena is about Harriers of the cold and featherless kind. The one-person dev team behind the air-to-air combat simulator is apparently in love with the floaty-shooty jumping jet, so much so that it’s the only type of plane available to fly in the game’s early access release. “We’ve made the decision to discontinue new sales of the original Titanfall game starting today and we’ll be removing the game from subscribption services on March 1, 2022,” reads the post. “We will, however, be keeping servers live for the dedicated fanbase still playing and those who own the game and are looking to drop into a match.” Titanfall has had a rough recent history. It came to Steam late last year but in a borderline unplayable state....
So it’s fitting - and presumably planned - that a lot of folks seem to be playing Titanfall 2 all of a sudden. At the time of writing, over 10,000 people are playing Titanfall 2 on Steam. Earlier this afternoon the number was over 15,000, and it’s been the same for the past week. These are the highest numbers the game has had since it was added to Steam in June 2020....

In a forum post titled “America’s Army: Proving Grounds: Mission Success, Time to Withdraw” (presumably without irony) the developers announced that support will end and official servers will shut down on the 5th of May, 2022. “Privately owned servers, the Mission Editor, and offline features are expected to function, but player stats will no longer be available. Official servers will be shut down,” they explain. “User login, player stats, and other resources on the America’s Army website will no longer be available....
