Here’s a trailer from back in August, which captures the spirit of the thing: Freebird describe the game as a “bonkers time-loop tragicomedy murder mystery thriller involving multiple casualties and a suspicious cat,” which sounds like a riot, but the original To The Moon was renowned mainly for heart-wrenching story. There’s enough tinkling piano in the trailer above that I’d expect to feel things - which is why I probably won’t play it....

Industries Of Titan plops you on yon moon of Saturn to scrap the remains of a former city and build up new again. You’ll do much of the familiar city-builder stuff such as constructing buildings for generating power and resources and all. This is space though, so there’s also ship combat with rebel forces and the like. You can catch a bit of that ship versus ship action here in the new trailer....

Alas, Konami’s Arespear PCs haven’t been going down well in Japan, as people have not only been making fun of the name, but also their very overpriced set of specs. But all work and no play make Jack a dull landlord. There’s a whole town full of miserable strangers to chat to, steal from, or piss the hell off....

Eternals are just ways to show off with no serious benefits. You can see your numbers get big, opponents can see your big numbers when you murder them, and with enough levels earned on them you’ll get to make your Mastery Emote snazzier. Technically the eponymous Eternals are gods but they’re really just a way to flex. After scrapping an attempt to launch them in August, Riot think they’ve got the measure of them now....

Marvel’s Avengers has a singleplayer story mode, or online three-player co-op where you run around doing superhero things (you can also all play the same character, so no need to fight over best boy Thor). Developers Crystal Dynamics say Game Pass players will have access to the full game and all it’s post-launch bits, as well as future updates. You’ll also be able to play the latest expansion, War For Wakanda, which adds Black Panther as a playable character....

Tokens are being introduced to let players collect specific cards, instead of relying on them to pop randomly in boosters. Collector Tokens are named for cosmic Marvel character the Collector, aka: Benecio del Toro in the MCU. When the Power Cosmic update lands, you’ll be able to unlock these from Collector’s Caches or Reserves in the Collection Level Track of the game’s season pass. That starts at Level 500, and tokens will replace boosters in these caches....

Ghost Of A Tale hails from creator SeithCG, a.k.a. Lionel Gallat, an animator who’s worked on movies such as Flushed Away, The Lorax and Despicable Me. The game puts you in the very tiny shoes of Tilo, a minstrel who also happens to be a mouse, as he sneaks around to avoid being squashed by nasty rats twice his size. Gallat seemed to be teasing a sequel in a tweet at the very end of last year, but we haven’t heard anything more since....

The downside: it’ll cost you £1500/$1500 versus the Quest 2’s £400, with Meta saying the headset is designed for business and not gaming. Meta - formerly Facebook - revealed the headset today during the keynote at Meta Connect 2022, a one-day virtual event focused on augmented and virtual reality, and “the metaverse”, Mark Zuckerberg’s chosen name for Second Life. The Quest Pro’s tech specs apparently include a resolution that’s 4x higher than the Quest 2....

Metal Gear Solid is now on GOG for £7.19, as is Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance. Ratings board listings were spotted for them earlier this week, and now here they are. It sounds like GOG have added a few touches to make the old PC versions play nicely with modern systems but they’re basically the same as they were 20 years ago, which was never a great state on PC....

The previous Microsoft Flight Simulator X game had only—and I promise I say “only” as a joke—24,000 airports. Asobo has vastly expanded that number and specifically chose 37,000 of them to edit individually with satellite images as references. Some are small rural landing strips and others are on top of mountains. For each airport, Asobo trace all of the runways from a Bing aerial map (suppose they weren’t allowed to use Google satellite images, eh?...
