Here’s the trailer, which is pretty gory: Krafton say that they’ve been working with concept artist Iain McCaig to define the aesthetic for the world, which Krafton say they’re also planning on developing into a graphic novel and a movie. McCaig has previously worked on both Star Wars (where he designed Darth Maul) and many other Hollywood blockbusters. The Bird That Drinks Tears is a four volume fantasy series written by Lee Yeongdo, which draws inspiration from Korean mythology....

You play as Alex, who can investigate the island to discover both Gods and mementos belonging to them. You can use the latter to jog the memories of the former and to ask new questions, and thus move the story forward. What order you find gods and mementos in seems to be up to the player....

Ubisoft have announced that players can expect about an hour of server downtime while the Neon Dawn update is rolled out. For PC players, that’s supposed to be happening at 1pm GMT/8am EDT on Tuesday, December 1st. The patch size for Steam and Uplay versions of the game will be 60GB. “With Operation Neon Dawn, we will be consolidating data files which means this patch is larger than usual, but when complete will take up less memory on your computer/console,” they say....

RimWorld got popular, I think, because it’s a well-tuned machine for generating stories about people thrown together in a survival situation, built on top of a small-scale, compulsively satisfying, city builder game. Like A Dragon 8 was announced at today’s Ryu Ga Gotoku summit, where the voice actors for Ichiban Kasuga and Kazuma Kiryu were brought on stage to discuss the game. They remained very tight-lipped about the whole thing, although Kiryu voice actor Takaya Kuroda said he was very happy to be back as the character. Devs Ryu Ga Gotoku aren’t giving away why Kiryu is back either, nor why he’s suddenly got a haircut straight out of 2010....

In Monolith’s Middle-Earth games, Nemesis turned minibosses into dynamic characters who could develop fears and hatreds as they battled you across the hours.
