Pubg Devs Are Making A Game Based On Korean Fantasy Epic The Bird That Drinks Tears

Here’s the trailer, which is pretty gory: Krafton say that they’ve been working with concept artist Iain McCaig to define the aesthetic for the world, which Krafton say they’re also planning on developing into a graphic novel and a movie. McCaig has previously worked on both Star Wars (where he designed Darth Maul) and many other Hollywood blockbusters. The Bird That Drinks Tears is a four volume fantasy series written by Lee Yeongdo, which draws inspiration from Korean mythology....

Quantum League Review Early Access

Once more for the people in the back, one of which happens to be me from a future timeline where I still haven’t worked out the best way to sum things up: if the Grandfather Paradox comes down to “If you go back in time and kill your grandfather, would you cease to exist?” Quantum League can be clumsily summarised by the much lengthier question: “If my third run headshots my opponent’s first run before my second run gets caught in the crossfire between both our first runs and killed, will my second run make it to the victory point in time?...

R Ki Developers Announce Friend Em Up Mythwrecked Ambrosia Island

Mythwrecked was announced with a trailer via the Wholesome Games Twitter account earlier today: There’s a Steam page already live which goes into more detail. You play as Alex, who can investigate the island to discover both Gods and mementos belonging to them. You can use the latter to jog the memories of the former and to ask new questions, and thus move the story forward. What order you find gods and mementos in seems to be up to the player....

Rainbow Six Siege Neon Dawn Launches Tomorrow

Ubisoft have announced that players can expect about an hour of server downtime while the Neon Dawn update is rolled out. For PC players, that’s supposed to be happening at 1pm GMT/8am EDT on Tuesday, December 1st. The patch size for Steam and Uplay versions of the game will be 60GB. “With Operation Neon Dawn, we will be consolidating data files which means this patch is larger than usual, but when complete will take up less memory on your computer/console,” they say....

Razer S Excellent Basilisk Ultimate Wireless Mouse Is 100 Off Today

Get the Razer Basilisk Ultimate + Dock for $70 (was $170) The Basilisk Ultimate is one that we’ve featured here at RPS Deals before, but that was the better part of a year ago - so let’s recap. This mouse comes with 11 programmable buttons, a high-end optical sensor and optical mouse buttons and RGB lighting throughout - including on the dock. The Basilisk Ultimate isn’t part of our current best gaming mouse recommendations, but the Razer Basilisk V3 , a wired successor to the Basilisk Ultimate, is featured....

Real Cats Seem To Like Stray As Much As We Do

Seriously, check out the account for yourself. Is this merely interesting in the way that all pictures of cats are, somehow, fundamentally interesting? Has the heat rendered my brain mush and now staring at things wide-eyed and head empty is all I’m capable of? Both? There are plenty of photos on the account, but it’s the videos I like best. Some cats clearly think the television is a window and that there are real cats behind it....

Rimworld Royalty Review

RimWorld got popular, I think, because it’s a well-tuned machine for generating stories about people thrown together in a survival situation, built on top of a small-scale, compulsively satisfying, city builder game. It had a fairly exemplary ascent through early access, with regular, substantive content updates. And even when it seemed those were at an end with the 1.0 release at the end of 2018, its modder-friendly design kept the party going until last week’s surprise release, not just of Royalty, but of a free 1....

Risk Of Rain 2 Pours Out Of Early Access Today

Don’t get me wrong - Risky Rain is still a game about blasting a flood of monsters, robots, ghosts and lizards into mulch. Now, however, you might just manage to end a run without your survivor beefing it. The big addition with Risk Of Rain 2’s launch is in giving the horde-shooting roguelike a proper ending. Prior to release, runs would escalate forever until a loose fireball tanked your health into zero - but now, you’ll eventually hop to the moon to take on a final boss, catch a closing cutscene and roll credits on Hopoo’s sequel....

Roccat Vulcan Pro Tkl Review

A large part of that is down to those aforementioned Titan Optical switches, which have been developed in house at Roccat. Optical gaming keyboards are even faster than your typical mechanical keyboard, as they use beams of light to detect your keystrokes instead of relying on moving parts. The downside is that they tend to be even louder than their mechanical counterparts, making them pretty anti-social peripherals if your PC’s in ear-shot of other people....

Rpg Maker Mz Is Out Now

I’m not clued up on where the RPG Maker scene is at, or what the preferred version of the venerable tool is these days (you’d want to check in with Giada Zavarise about that). But it’s been a good half-decade since the MV released back in 2015. MZ looks to be a comparatively beastly package, adding and re-implementing a truckload of features to the code-free toolkit. A new character customiser lets you Picrew up your own anime heroes in-engine, while map layers make a return after being dropped in XP....

Rps Asks You To Please Take Our 2021 Readership Survey

Unlike some of our previous readership surveys that ask you what kind of hardware you own and whether you’re planning to buy an 8K TV or VR headset in the next six months, this survey is all about your relationship with RPS as a website. It’s been put together by the folks at Reedpop UK, our corporate mothership, and asks you things like how often you visit the site each week, which sections you visit most frequently, and so on....

Runescape Celebrates Its 20Th Anniversary

“Two decades on, RuneScape has become one of the world’s longest-running online games, having been played non-stop for 7,306 consecutive days,” Jagex say of the big anniversary. That’s a lot of days. As if to prove it, RuneScape’s celebration begins today with a month-long Grand Party hosted in Lumbridge Crater—a location that was added to the game in 2013, though it is near the town of Lumbridge you might remember starting out in....

Samsung Space Monitor Review Free Your Gaming Desk

Not so with the Samsung Space. This 32in 4K monitor is an absolute beauty. Thanks to a clever clamp design that fixes the monitor to the very back of your desk, the Samsung Space can be pressed right up against the wall, giving you acres of room for your mouse and keyboard, or in my case, seven hundred graphics card boxes and various bits of testing equipment. And the best part?...

Shadow Of Mordor Studio Are Making A Wonder Woman Game With The Nemesis System

Yep, nothing of value in that trailer. That Nemesis System, that interests me. In Monolith’s Middle-Earth games, Nemesis turned minibosses into dynamic characters who could develop fears and hatreds as they battled you across the hours. And while you were busy murdering, they were also doing their own thing, jostling and climbing the ranks of orc leadership. “It’s a game that genuinely makes me feel like a character in a world that hasn’t been constructed as a set for my performance,” Adam wrote about Shadow Of War in 2017....
